Needed to upgrade the hood on a parka since the hood didn't come far enough forward to effectively block the wind. I got the 30" with strip of beaver and added it to the hood of my coyote parka to extend the wind protection and it worked perfectly! Great quality fur and the extra grosgrain made it really easy to stitch to the existing hood.

Like he other reviewer, I bought a ruff a few years ago to attach to a puff coat after seeing a Canada Goose coat. Honestly, using this will give you a bigger/fuller trim than you can get from that other brand. I sewed the grosgrain ribbons together to make a tube then used safety pens to attach it to the inside rim of the hood. The fullness of the fur hid the pins and from the outside it looks like it was made that way. Also it keeps your face or neck warm so that you don't need a scarf unless its super cold. Useful and attractive product!

I bought this 2 years ago and attached it to my hood. I live in the wilds of Brooklyn, where fake ruffs look crappy but Canada Goose coats with real coyote fur around the hoods are around 900 bucks. I had a good, warm down coat already and didn't want to fork out 900 for a new coat anyway, so bought this ruff and attached it to the hood. Easy-peasy with the pre-attached grosgrain ribbons. It looks great and my daughter liked it so much I bought a second one for her. The 2 ruffs are quite different, and hers has a sort of "mohawk" stripe in the center which she thinks is very cool. Mine is more uniform and sedate, which works for me. Highly recommend!
